Michael K. Banks, B Comm, CA

With over 14 years of experience, Michael’s primary focus is the service of our large private clients who operate in a variety of industries including automotive, manufacturing and not-for-profit.

Michael is a member of the Horne LLP Automotive Services Group, which provides annual compliance audit, accounting and tax advice to many new vehicle dealerships, stand alone leasing companies and daily rental companies. He advises his clients on issues such as dealership or lease portfolio purchases, negotiations, valuations, due diligence reviews, accounting, internal controls, and succession planning. Michael is also well known in the vehicle leasing community of the GTA and has extensive experience working with both originators and issuers in vehicle lease securitizations.

Michael is a member of our firm’s quality assurance leadership team and is responsible for the technical training and development of our professional staff.

Over the years, Michael has been eagerly volunteering for several community organizations. Currently, Michael serves as the Chair of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Halton and also supports the Community Foundation of Oakville and the United Way. Michael and his wife Sarah and family reside in Oakville, Ontario.
